computerRanked vs Free Lobbies

ChainClash has two ways to play: Free Play and Ranked. The gameplay is the same. The stakes are not.

Free Play is zero-risk practice. Ranked is competitive play with wagers and ELO on the line.

Free Play – no risk, no consequences

Free Play is the “jump in and play” mode.

  • no wallet or balance required

  • no wagers

  • no ELO change

You can still:

  • get kills

  • climb leaderboard rank through kills

  • practice mechanics

  • test strategies or builds

It’s where you warm up, learn, and experiment. If you screw up here, nothing happens except bruised ego.

Ranked – wagers, ELO, real stakes

Ranked is for players who want pressure and rewards.

Requirements:

  • wallet connected

  • minimum balance of $0.25 USD (in SOL)

  • select a wager

Wagers

  • minimum wager $0.25

  • preset amounts up to $5.00

  • all wagers form a prize pot

  • winner takes 80% of the pot

  • 20% is platform fee

Lose the match, lose your wager. Simple.

ELO

Only Ranked affects ELO.

  • win → ELO goes up

  • lose → ELO goes down

  • beating higher-ELO players gives bigger gains

Your ELO determines how tough your opponents become. If you actually belong at the top, you’ll stay there. If not, the system will send you back down.

Ranked uses standardized game settings to keep matches fair and comparable.

Spectating and Betting

Both modes allow:

  • watching matches

  • placing bets as a spectator

So even when you’re not playing, you can still risk your pride — or your balance.

Which should you choose?

Pick Free Play if:

  • you’re new

  • practicing

  • testing builds

  • don’t want to risk money today

Pick Ranked if:

  • you want monetary rewards

  • you want ELO gains

  • you enjoy playing under pressure

  • you’re confident you can win
